Borden Ayers brings over twenty years of executive management experience in retirement plans, insurance products, and managed investment products and services. Areas of management expertise include national wholesaling and retailing of financial products and services, trust services, retirement plan marketing, sales distribution channels, distribution strategies, sales compensation programs, sales promotion, and competitive intelligence. He also has extensive experience in the retirement plan markets including 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), plans for the self employed, and IRAs.

Immediately prior to entering the consulting field, Mr. Ayers was President of Key Trust company, a trust and asset management subsidiary of Keystone Financial, a bank and financial services holding company. He was also an Executive Vice President and Executive Relationship manager at Frankford Bank in Philadelphia.

At Key Trust, Mr. Ayers had overall responsibility for trust and asset management services. He also had responsibility for coordinating the integration and the promotion of discount brokerage services and third party marketing sales of mutual funds and annuities into the retail banking distribution outlets.

From 1977 to 1993, he was with the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, most recently, as a Senior Vice President, where he had overall responsibility for national pension and investment sales and marketing. The organization he managed, specialized in the sale of retirement plans and managed investment and insurance products for employers and individuals. Product responsibilities included fixed and variable annuities, mutual funds, group annuities, life insurance including variable universal life insurance, and wrap-fee accounts.

From 1985 to 1993 he was responsible for planning and managing the expansion of the national sales effort into alternate distribution channels including bank and NASD independent broker/dealers, national and regional wire houses, third party marketing firms, other insurance companies, brokerage firms, and employee benefit consulting firms. During this period he also directed and managed the sale of retirement plan products and services through Penn Mutual's career agency system.

Prior to 1985, Mr. Ayers was named Director of Pension Marketing after opening and managing a regional pension sales and plan administration office in Chicago for Penn Mutual.

Mr. Ayers has been a registered representative, holding NASD series 7 and 63 licenses, and also life and annuity licenses. A frequent speaker at industry meetings, he has shared information and ideas on retirement income planning and the retirement management market opportunity. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Kenyon College and attended Columbia University's Executive Program for Business Administration in 1990.
